Our Baby room supports children from 6 weeks until two years, giving babies a nurturing, caring environment to start their journey in life.

We strive to have an open relationship with families, making them feel comfortable approaching educators daily, involving parents in planning for their child and the room, and welcoming any comments or feedback. We value family's opinions, ideas and thoughts.

This is an age where children learn to manipulate and discover their environment, motivated by interest and curiosity. We present a safe, happy, and inviting atmosphere where each child has the opportunity to move, roll, crawl, walk, run, paint, play with sensory resources, sing songs, listen to stories, move and dance to music and so much more.

Above all, we aim to create an environment where children are content and parents can feel confident in leaving their children.

We plan developmentally appropriate programs, which incorporate each child's needs, strengths, and interests and make it gender and multiculturally inclusive.

We will take time to communicate with you about your child's day, and we are also delighted to discuss their development with you at any time, verbally and via SeeSaw (app).

The staff look forward to getting to know you and your child so that we can form a strong relationship. We will work together to produce the best possible outcomes for your child.

Randall Johncock is the very caring and thoughtful owner of Walkley Heights Child Centre. As a parent I looked at four other child care centres and was not impressed by them at all. I heard Walkley Heights was opening around October 2003, so I rang and put my daughter's name on the list, went for an interview, as soon as I walked in, I knew this was the place for my daughter. Very clean and tidy place I found the staff very helpful and friendly. I liked how they cooked on the premises; menu was always out on the board. Everything was supplied within the Centre and my daughter loved bringing home drawings and crafts. Janet and Randall decorate the Centre for special occasions and always looks lovely. Overall, my child was at the Centre for three years and I knew when I left her, she would be in very good hands!
